Legalization

NYNOTARY4U.com is your document Legalization Service.  We can get your documents or affidavits legalized from Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, New York City, (NYC) Manhattan or on Long Island (LI).

We can also get you document legalized from any other states such as Alabama, AL, Alaska, AK, Arizona, AZ, Arkansas, AR, California, CA, Colorado, CO, Connecticut, CT, Delaware, DE, Florida, FL, Georgia, GA, Hawaii, HI, Idaho, ID, Illinois, IL, Indiana, IN, Iowa, IA, Kansas, KS, Kentucky, KY, Louisiana, LA, Maine, ME, Maryland, MD, Massachusetts, MA, Michigan, MI, Minnesota, MN, Mississippi, MS, Missouri, MO, Montana, MT, Nebraska, NE, Nevada, NV, New Hampshire, NH, New Jersey, NJ New Mexico, NM, New York, NY, North Carolina, NC, North Dakota, ND, Ohio, OH, Oklahoma, OK, Oregon, OR, Pennsylvania, PA Rhode Island, RI, South Carolina, SC, South Dakota, SD, Tennessee, TN, Texas, TX, Utah, UT, Vermont, VT Virginia, VA, Washington, WA, West Virginia, WV, Wisconsin, WI, Wyoming, WY.

Documents issued in one country which need to be used in another country must be "authenticated" or "legalized" before they can be recognized as valid in the foreign country. This is a process in which various seals or stamps are placed on the document.

The sole function of the legalization is to certify the authenticity of the signature on the document; the capacity in which the person signing the document acted; and the identity of any stamp or seal affixed to the document.

The Non Hague Contries

The following countries are not part of the Hague Convention and documents being sent to these countries must be legalized via their embassy or consular office.

Embassy Legalization takes much longer to process and tends be more expensive. Some consular offices charge as much as $600.00 or as little as $1.00

Not all Embassies are located in New York City. If they are not located in NYC they will require special courier service in Washington, DC to complete the legalization. Each document is different and may require additional time for traveling between locations to get the document legalized. The US Department of State Authentication of documents takes approximately 5 business days to process from the time of receipt. Since the US Post service is screening all mail it could delay the process even more.
